London Urology Specialists welcomes referrals from GPs, consultant colleagues and allied healthcare professionals. Our team of nine consultant urological surgeons provides rapid access to expert, consultant-led care across a broad range of specialist urological services.
Our expertise includes the diagnosis and management of prostate, kidney and bladder cancer, functional, reconstructive and neuro-urology, stone disease, and congenital urological anomalies. We also offer advanced treatments including focal therapy and robotic-assisted surgery, alongside multidisciplinary team (MDT) support and expert second opinions for both routine and complex cases.

- Patient details – Name, date of birth and contact details.
- Reason for referral – A brief clinical summary, including the referral question or suspected diagnosis.
- Relevant medical history – Including previous urological history, significant comorbidities, current medications and allergies.
- Investigations – Please include any relevant blood tests, urinalysis, imaging, pathology or biopsy reports, where available.
- Urgency – Please highlight any urgent clinical concerns, such as suspected malignancy, acute urinary retention or an obstructed infected urinary system, so that we can prioritise the referral appropriately.

MDT support & second opinions
Multidisciplinary Review
All urological cancer referrals are reviewed at our multidisciplinary team (MDT) meeting. Bringing together consultant urologists, oncologists, specialist radiologists, histopathologists, nuclear medicine physicians and specialist nurses, the MDT ensures every patient benefits from a collaborative, evidence-based treatment recommendation.
Second Opinions Welcome
We welcome referrals for second opinions on diagnoses and treatment plans made in both NHS and private practice. Our consultants regularly provide expert opinions across a wide range of specialist urological conditions, including prostate cancer and complex reconstructive cases.
Where available, please include relevant imaging, biopsy or pathology reports, and previous clinic letters with your referral.
Rapid Access for Your Patients
We aim to offer patients an appointment within 24–48 hours of receiving a referral. If the appropriate subspecialist has a longer waiting time, our team will advise you of the earliest available appointment and discuss alternative options where appropriate.
Urgent referrals, including suspected malignancy, acute urinary retention and obstructed infected urinary systems, are prioritised for same-day or same-week assessment, depending on clinical need.
