Professor Clément Orczyk

Professor Clément Orczyk is a Clinical Academic and Consultant Urologist at University College London Hospitals (UCLH), where he also holds the position of Associate Professor of Urology at University College London (UCL). He has served as a consultant since 2017 and currently leads the Prostate Cancer Unit for diagnostics, active surveillance, and focal therapy at UCLH.

His career has taken him across France, the United States, and the United Kingdom. He completed a prestigious fellowship at New York University (NYU) in 2011 and subsequently undertook a PhD focusing on prostate cancer imaging and focal therapy at a leading French research institution, conducted in collaboration with NYU.

This international perspective, combined with decades of clinical and academic experience, uniquely positions Professor Orczyk at the forefront of prostate cancer care and innovation.

Professor Orczyk specialises in the full spectrum of prostate cancer management, from early diagnosis through to definitive treatment. His expertise encompasses advanced imaging interpretation, targeted biopsy techniques, active surveillance protocols, and minimally invasive therapeutic interventions.

Professor Orczyk is recognised internationally as one of a select group of clinicians proficient in multiple forms of focal ablation for prostate cancer. His procedural experience is extensive, having performed over 700 focal therapy procedures to date.

Professor Orczyk is a prolific researcher whose work sits at the intersection of imaging science, molecular biology, and artificial intelligence. He authored the first publication to establish three-dimensional treatment margins for focal therapy — a foundational contribution that has shaped clinical practice worldwide.

His translational research programme bridges the gap between laboratory discovery and bedside application, with a particular focus on how advanced imaging and AI can improve diagnostic accuracy and treatment planning in prostate cancer. He publishes regularly in high-impact, peer-reviewed journals and is a sought-after speaker at international urological conferences.
